Travel Guru

Making Travel Guru has been a long and exciting time for me, and as such it is with great pleasure that I bring you the news that it has been released on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.

Travel Guru is a Geography based quiz game that offers any player a variety of different questions and a wealth of knowledge, that will keep them entertained for months.

Whether you’re young or old, male or female, big or small, Travel Guru has something to offer you, and it is this fact which is why I am so proud of Travel Guru. I personally believe that it is one of the best quiz games out there because it has 5 distinctly different types of question, whereas most quiz games will only have 1 or 2 different types. I have tried it out on a variety of different people and everyone has always been able to take something out of the game. Some people like it because they can see and talk about places they have been previously, others just like to imagine what it would be like to go to these exotic places that it discusses, whilst others just want to show off how much they know about the world.

Travel Guru is currently out on the Apple App Store.

One of the big selling points of the game is that it has a vast database that contains information on all Countries and Capital Cities in the world. As we have many different statistics about each Country, and there are over 250 countries in the world, it took a long time to gather all of the information that was required to create the game as it is now. For me, this was not the most exciting time of my life, but it was necessary for the end product, so I did a few hours every week, and eventually it started to come together. I really hope that some people do have a browse of the ‘Country Statistics’ section of Travel Guru as there is some really interesting information in there.

Online gaming is an area that has been really taking off in the last few years, and as such we thought it would be a good idea to include an online Mode within Travel Guru. This was a new experience for me, as I have not got much experience of producing online games, however, it was a fun and enjoyable experience, and seeing the end product in place with an enjoyable online mode definitely makes the effort worthwhile.

As a final word, I will part with some of the knowledge that I have gained from making Travel Guru. There are many Countries in the world that everyone has heard of, however, there are some Countries out there that even I had never heard of before, the best of which being Djibouti and Benin, so please think of this whilst playing Travel Guru!
